HKLM was briefed to develop a brand platform for the company and create a corporate identity that conveyed flexibility and Aquila’s ability to adapt to its clients’ changing needs through speed and convenience.
Aquila strives to be among the best in the world through its best practice methodologies, boutique service offering, its superior knowledge in what it does and its professional high level of service excellence. Aquila Leasing’s brand platform was developed as “Superior Solutions Through Innovation and Knowledge”.
Aquila is coined from the Latin word meaning “eagle”. It’s also a constellation in the northern hemisphere represented by the figure of an eagle, and in Greek mythology, Aquila is the eagle that carried the thunderbolts of Zeus. In our research, we found that the brand associations of an eagle in the Nigerian market were powerful. The eagle symbol appears on the national coat of arms, and is a symbol of strength and authority, conveying swiftness, speed, strength and flexibility.
The eagle in flight logo device represents the company’s powerful and flexible capabilities in assisting its clients. The italicised font in its logotype conveys its swift and speedy solution delivery to its clients.
Its colour palette of orange and blue is strong, clean and corporate. The blue represents structure and the company’s conservative corporate values, while the orange stimulates enthusiasm, flexibility, vitality and endurance.
