University of Mpumalanga Brand Development

This new university also integrated an existing faculty in the form of the Lowveld Agricultural College and would embark on an ambitious 10 year developmental plan that will see it stand out internationally as a leading destination for studies such as food security, biodiversity and wildlife management. Drawing on the unique beauty of the province of Mpumalanga and its magnificent surrounds, this identity captured the energy and diversity of the facets that make up the provincial appeal and were applied to a wide range of launch elements that included an extensive list of through the line applications.

The launch event was held on 31 October 2013 at the Lowveld College of Agriculture, where the new identity and institutional naming was unveiled by the Minister for Higher Education and Training, Blade Nzimande. A broad range of stakeholders and provincial and national dignitaries were in attendance and the opening was a significant celebration and milestone for the province. The university if fully subscribed as it embarks on its developmental programme over the next decade.
