HKLM was briefed to create an identity for the luxurious Champagne bar on the 26th floor of the InterContinental Hotel at Dubai Festival City. The identity was applied to various print elements such as stationery, menus, events and promotional material, as well as general bar items such as swizzle sticks, coasters, matches and wall artwork.

The decor of the lounge is polished and contemporary and boasts unparalleled 180 degree views of the city and creek. This feature is brought to life at night when clients can enjoy a full view of the sunset and moon rise as well as the spectacular city lights. An ornate chandelier with tiny twinkling lights also adds to the mood. Premium wine, Champagne and classic cocktails are served in stemless crystal Riedel glassware to a discerning clientele.

HKLM brought the idea of an eclipse to life in the logo where two intercepting spheres create the initial “E” within the circle. Its stud-like form was inspired by sparkling champagne bubbles, diamonds, twinkling city lights and the chandelier featured in the room.

The supporting language also illustrates the eclipse concept: various drinks in the signature Riedel glasses were photographed and overlapped in crystal-coloured patterns, as if each glass was “eclipsing” the next. The silver studded vine, inspired by the chandelier, weaves in a layer above the glasses. Luxurious finishes (embossing, foiling etc.) on Plike paper completed the look.
