Cloud 9 is a golf event management company that wanted to update its brand to express a more professional image, while still maintaining the fun aspect that all its member’s love.
HKLM was approached to refresh the Cloud 9 brand. The brand needed to be modern and professional, while still communicating a hint of “retail”.
The number 9 had to remain as a number. The new identity needed to be easily applicable and consideration needed to be given to the collateral elements ‒ golf balls, golf shirts and gold tee's ‒ so a complicated, full colour logo was not an option.
The proposed, very contemporary, logo solution (in green and black), was derived from a ball rolling into a hole represented by the oversized 9. The result was simple and appropriate for all collateral.
